We are hiring for the 2023 season! Contractor Services, Inc. (CSI) is a traffic control company based in North Platte, Nebraska. Our service area includes central Nebraska to the panhandle and eastern Colorado.
CSI provides traffic control services that include the installation of signs and barricades, roadway and airport pavement marking, pavement marking removals, temporary barrier rail, temporary signals, message boards, and other smart zone equipment. CSI is a fast-growing company looking for employees that are ready to grow with us.
Safety is the most important part of a construction project. CSI employees will help create a safe work zone by installing traffic control devices on roadway construction projects.
What is smart zone equipment? Smart zones include equipment that aids the traveling public to safely navigate through work zones by interactively changing the display message as traffic changes within the area. This technology also collects data that roadway designers can use on later projects to modify or adapt to create a safer roadway.
Abilities/Skills:
- Clean driving record.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Communicate well with others.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.
- Lift 80+ pounds.
- Willing to learn new skills.
- Ability to learn technology-telecommunications, computers, and radar and microwave.
- Willing to travel out of state.
Job Tasks:
- Repairing message boards, arrow boards, radar, microwave, cameras, and signal trailers.
- Repairing device trailer, bearings, lights, and hydraulics.
- Setting up message boards, arrow boards, radar, microwave, cameras, and signal trailers on jobsites.
- Being able to troubleshoot communications devices.
- Understanding how 12-volt electrical connections.
- Working on and around high-speed traffic, highway, and interstate.
- PPE (hard hat, safety vest, eye protection, gloves) is required.
- Training will begin after passing flagger training and assistant traffic control management classes.
This is a position that requires safety to be put first, as you will be working near traffic and other contractors. PPE (hard hat, safety vest, eye protection, gloves) is required and successful applicants will need to provide proper footwear and attire.
